How does coaching work?

Step 1: Discovery Call

It begins with a complimentary 20-minute discovery call where we get to know one another. I will ask you a few questions so that I can understand your current situation and the results you want to achieve. I will talk you through what to expect in a coaching session and the options of how I can help you and answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Session & Action Plan

We will then schedule your first session at your convenience. The first session is a 90-minute session. This is to allow time for you to tell me your story and so that I can provide you with some immediate help to move you forwards.

We will work on an Action Plan together during the session for you to focus on that will make a powerful difference to you and your journey.

Step 3: Sessions & Moving Forward

We will then continue to work on specific areas chosen by you in further sessions to continue moving you forward.

If you live in the Fleet or the surrounding areas of Hampshire, we can meet face-to-face at a convenient venue of your choosing including my Fleet clinic, your home or a mutual location.

Alternatively, we can talk via zoom which is often a good option to fit around work and family life or if you live outside of the UK.

Sometimes a phone call on the go is the preferred way of support and that’s fine too! Whichever works best for you.

Do I need a Coach?

Going through a break-up or divorce is much more than just a legal process to navigate.

There is also the emotional journey and the way you handle that emotional journey, can have a significant impact on the outcome and costs of your legal journey. For a lot of people, it really is an emotional rollercoaster with an array of feelings from pain to humiliation.

This is the reason it is so important to prioritise your emotional well-being whilst going through this difficult time. Coaching will help you focus on you, equip you with tools and techniques to deal with your emotions and in turn, you will be able to make informed decisions and keep your legal costs under control.

There are so many reasons why you would use a Break-Up and Divorce Coach.

Should I stay or should I go?
You are unsure whether to separate from your partner. You’ve lost that spark and are unsure how to get it back, or whether it will ever come back. Maybe you feel there is more to life, and you want to find true happiness. Or maybe you want to leave but you are unsure of what that entails.
My partner has announced out of the blue that they are leaving me!
Panic stations. You may feel shocked, scared, and overwhelmed. You are unsure what that means for you. What does the future look like? You want to find answers to help process what has happened, and you need to move forward.
I need to talk to someone who will give me impartial, unbiased advice!
Your friends and family may be a great support to you and mean well but they are emotionally involved which may not be helping you. You need to obtain advice from someone who understands, can help you move forward and who will provide you with tools, techniques, and practical strategies to help you get to where you want to be.
I am never ever going to get over this!
You may have been in a long relationship and feel like your break-up is the end of the world. You can’t see a future without your partner and feel it is impossible to ever be happy again. You need someone to help rediscover the real you.
I feel so low and just want to hide away from the world!
You thought you had it all planned out. Then this happened. You keep asking yourself what did I do to deserve this? Will I ever find anyone else? So many doubts going around in your head that you just can’t face leaving the house. You need support to help build your self-esteem and help define who you are as a single person so that you can move forward with confidence.
My ex is so controlling and aggressive I just can’t communicate with him!
You may be struggling to deal with a controlling and intimidating ex-partner which can be very draining. This can impact on all areas of your life. Maybe you feel that you can’t cope and are losing the strength to continue with the break-up. You need to be one step ahead with the tools and techniques that will help you cope better and communicate effectively.
I am so confused with the mountains of paperwork and legal jargon!
You’ve been bombarded with paperwork, options and various processes and feel completely out of your depth! You need to build the best team around you to support you and your needs. Whilst I am not there to give you legal advice, with my experience and network of contacts I will help you build that all important team. I will help you gain clarity of your options and also guide you on how to deal with the legal process separately from your emotions.
How do I tell the children and support them?
You don’t know what to tell the children and what not to tell them. You want to protect them and empower them. You need support and techniques to help you balance your emotions and meet their needs at the same time.
I want to move on with my life but just feel stuck in a rut!
You feel like you’re just going around in circles. You’ve processed your break-up but just can’t seem to move forward as you’re not sure who you are or what you want. You need to rediscover you and what makes you tick, identify what you really want in your future and how to get it. I will help you create your action plan and the best path to get you there.
I am ready to start dating again but have no idea how!
You feel ready to meet someone new but have no idea where to start. Your friends are all in relationships and you want to get out and enjoy life again. It is important to identify what you need from a partner before diving into a relationship.

Lauren gave me coping strategies to understand his behaviour and not allow it to spiral me into panic and anxiety. With Lauren’s support I focused on building my future, counteracting his negative communication with my own glad list and planning activities and goals for me. I’m purchasing a house and feel stronger for my children, in fact I am starting to feel happier than ever. Lauren has been excellent and I plan to keep in touch to refocus if and when I feel I’m having a set-back or a wobble in life’s challenging moments. Thank you Lauren.
